Etchings and Aquatints

Printing is one of those mediums that allow to explore, and create work like magic, is for this, that from time to time I work using this traditional technique. Ideas can be achieved and give different possibilities allowing the chance to occur and give to the viewer possibilities to discover spaces.

“Etchings are produce in metal plates that are careful etched using wax resist, drawings are made on soft wax or dry point, then printed on paper using an etching press.”

“Aquatint  is an intaglio printmaking technique, but is used to create tonal effects rather than lines. Intaglio refers to printing and printmaking techniques in which the image is incised into a surface, and the incised line or sunken area holds the ink.”
